The Diaspora Gaze

This body of work made across India, inspects the diaspora gaze.  It examines the experience of encountering a place that feels culturally intimate yet emotionally and temporally fragmented. My observations became  shaped by nostalgia, projection, and the search for belonging within an inherited space.

 

Rather than seeking a definitive representation of a motherland or identity, the project approaches photography as a means of navigation.
