Station to Station
 

Station to Station explores social and community spaces across the Rhondda Valleys. The work was made during a period of growing social isolation and continued threats to public spaces through closure and underfunding, the work considers the importance of community and documents everyday life across towns throughout the Valleys.
 

The project forms a part of a residency pilot programme developed as part of an ongoing collaboration between the Documentary Photography course at the University of South Wales, Transport for Wales, and Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council. Chaddah Duke first took part in the programme as a student in 2020 before returning in 2026 in a mentorship role, working alongside a new cohort of students to develop their own bodies of work.
 

Station to Station was exhibited as part of Rhondda Arts Festival (10–12 July 2026), with photographs displayed at stations between Pontypridd and Treorchy throughout the festival programme.
